Disneyland Halloween party

We went to the Disneyland Halloween for the first time this year. We went with the Haught's, Nikolas likes to hang with Addison they have fun together. I think they were both tired last night, but they had fun. They got alot of candy! Yummy where is that bag.
Nikolas chose to be a train, I showed him websites and we went shopping to stores and each time he chose the train. Well I agreed on the train, but the train I liked was only sold online and most websites were sold out. I finally found it and it made it here on time!

Dean and I went to Knotts Scary farm the night before so we were very tired for the Disney night, but thankfully the kids were tired so we didnt have to stay late.
Dean was able to hang with Jon and I could hang with Robin in between chasing Nikolas. Derek all I had to do was find the candy stations and there he was. "Hey mom they dropped alot of candy on the ground, can I get it" Sheesh like the bag full was not enough.
All in all, it was fun! I think that we can definitely do this again next year.

C is for Capelletti or California

Addison is not so sure about Nikolas hat I think

Forget the candy stations, I found a toy store!

Whew ... All done,

So we are almost done with the kitchen remodel. I have to now clean out the cupboards of all the wood shavings, and wash all the dishes. I started last night, and whew that is alot of work. I am about half way done. Not how I wanted to spend my few last days of freedom. Oh well the kichen turned out great, I am so pleased. Dean will still need to put the outlet covers on, I tried to put one on and it was way too hard. I know it should be easy but they are not. Dean just changed them all to GFI outlets so they are hard to put on. That will be a Dean project, and oh so many of those. So I put the coffee maker in front of one so no one will know.

This was the before picture to compare to. Cabinets were two-tone. Beige frames with wood doors. The counters were tile

Nikolas Room

Well, to add to house changes here is a change we made that is already done. Nikolas had the Zanzibar animal room, with all the animals painted on his wall. It was so cute, but he was so into cars we decided to make a change.
Nikolas loves to play in his room all day, he is so content just hanging out in there and playing. So we tried to make it fun.

We painted it two tone, and car trim. The bunk bed has a slide and has these curtains that drop down that hide all his toys so it doesnt look so messy, although they are tied up right now otherwise it is too dark under there. The floor used to be carpet, but since he plays in there all the time the carpet needed to go. Dean put nice wood laminate flooring in there. He did such a great job! Nikolas loves his room.

Before and After

Here is the before, and tomorrow we will have the after. We are getting our kitchen redone, well not all of it. But the cabinets and the counters. This is the before of the cabinets and they are actually done. The cabinets oh what a mess!! I have wood shavings all over inside my cupboards and all over my dishes, not so bad right? I will just wash them all, ok well I cant. They ripped off my counters 2 weeks ago and I have been living with no counter which means no stove, no sink, and dirty dirty kitchen. At first I thought great I dont have to cook!! Well I have to say that is all so great, I am tired of eating out and cant wait to be done.

My counters are coming tomorrow and I will post the final AFTER pictures! I cant wait...

Fashion Island

Today I needed to go to Fashion Island, yep thats right "I needed to". Robin also needed to go there as well, so she joined us. Yay for us! It was so nice to see her. She shopped at the prego store and although I am not pregnant I should be shopping there as fat as I am. I have not worked out in over 8 weeks, and I have been eating like a pig!

We walked around and talked and the kids played, actually she walked with her beautiful well behaved Addison and I chased Nikolas. He was very tired so he ran extra to keep himself awake.

We finished our day with lunch, yummo.

It was such a nice day, and Im pooped. Nikolas fell asleep as soon as I strapped him into his carseat, wow ..... peace and quiet... time to relax...

I took this photo on my phone, while the kids are playing at the Babystyle store.

Toy!!!

Ok, so I know kids love toys. But Nikolas is obsessed, and I am 100 percent sure it is all my fault. Everytime we leave or go to the store, Nikolas is convinced that he needs a toy. I lately have not been caving in, but to often I do. When we were in San Francisco this weekend, we called home and Nikolas had a breakdown. He missed us so much, he was so upset. So YES your right we told him we would bring him a new toy to try to calm him down. Well the toy didnt work, but the candy grandma gave him did. We had a small bag of ring suckers, and while I was talking to Nikolas (as he is crying) I told him go get one of your new suckers, he never stopped crying so fast.... imagine that candy helps all fears! But he made sure to ask if he was still getting a toy when we returned.

So on our way home from San Francisco when we stopped to eat, there was Nikolas favorite store. (Target).... yep Target he loves Target just like his mom I guess. This is not good.

So we bought him a large truck because of course what Nikolas wants is some type of LARGE vehicle. And then we found this really cute football uniform and helmet.

We got home late at night and Nikolas was sleeping, in the morning we go to his room to play. He says "toy", and I said you have toys here. He said "no, toy from mommy and daddy" this child forgets nothing. HAHA ... I have created a monster, literally... So of course we had to get the toys we bought for him.

Nikolas was playing in his room as I am trying to clean up and do some laundry and when I come back into his room, he has his new uniform on. He climned into closet and got the uniform down and put it on right! I thought Derek must have helped, but nope Derek said he never saw it and didnt help him.

Now I cant get him to take this off.... At least this child like the right team!! go niners....

San Francisco

Ok, so here it is. My first post. Dean and I own a timeshare... Whoo hoo... We were given a chance to go for an update meeting, where they try to sell us something else that we dont want to buy. But just for going to this meeting, we received a one night stay at the beautiful Hilton at the Financial District in San Francisco. We were also given 50 dollars to spend at the 49er game of which we have season tickets (so that worked out well) and they gave us 50 dollars towards dinner (very nice), and lastly we received tickets to go on the blue and gold fleet which is a 1 hour tour of the bay at Fishermans Wharf.

Well the day started off with our long drive to San Francisco, alot of music and coffee to try to stay awake. When we arrived at the Wharf we found it was "Fleet Week" which is some event where all these boats are in the bay? And to make that nicer for us, the "Blue Angels" were there. They were getting ready for the show as we went to our meeting, oh joy!

Well the meeting went pretty fast, we sat through a boring video and Dean sent text messages as the lady was giving us her speel.... Needless to say she was very mad... After I so nicely told her that we thought this wasnt something we wanted, she was glad to say goodbye to us. She sent us out the backway... I guess that is the way you exit when you dont buy anything. But it was ok with us, we left with all our gifts in hand.

We left to the hotel to check in and maybe a nap? That sounded great!! Well it was a good thing that we got all these frees gifts, at our first stop the hotel, it cost us $54 to park... Sheesh.. We went to the room and we were running so late we didnt get a nap, we showered and changed and then off to our bay tour.

We arrived at the tour and the Blue Angels were still flying, wow that is sooo cool. We boarded the ship and we stood at the front of the ship outside and they warned us that we could get wet to be careful with camaras... yeah right!!!! wet? Ok, well as we started to get out a bit, due the amount of boating traffic there was some good size waves that the other boats had created and Im sure you see where this is going. We preceded along and here is a big wave, Im thinking oh my gosh, this boat is going to tip over and sink and we are getting eaten by sharks!! No, that wasnt it.... It was like a ride at Magic Mountain, one that I didnt want to go on because I might get wet? ..... well the large boat we were on hit the wave just perfectly and YES we got soaked... Ok what a great tour this was starting out to be. Well thankfully for me, the further we got out the less waves and yes no more getting wet. The boat went under the Golden Gate Bridge and then out and around Alcatraz... How cool, what a great tour this became.

When the tour was over, we were then going to drive to Daly City which is South San Francisco right on the water. Deans aunt lives there, and we have not seen her since the funeral a little ways back for her wonderful husband. Anyways, she was cooking us dinner and I couldnt wait I was starving as usual. Two hours later after hitting every bit of traffic possible we arrived and they were ready to eat!! Great no small talk.. lets eat... This aunt grew up in Peru, so yes she cooked all my peruvian favorites I was in heaven... And then we sat around the table and joked and laughed for many hours.

Well, now it is Sunday and off to the 49er game. First before we head to the game we head down to Fishermans Wharf for breakfast, and this was worth the drive. There is this place that sells these mini donuts that are fresh out of the oil when you order them, then they put them in a bucket if you are a pig and order a bucket of them and they sprinkle them with cinnamin and sugar mixture.... OMG these are so good, you have to try these if you go there!!! Ok now we are really off to the game this is so exciting, it is little hard because I am not able to walk so fast or very much yet. So Dean and I kept stopping but we made it. Once we got the seats I didnt leave (or couldnt I was pooped haha). The game, there is not much to say, it started off good and then got bad, and then good again and then bad as we lost!!! What a bummer, couldnt they win for me since I came all that way?

Well that was the trip, we left the game and began our journey home. We stopped for dinner and gas, and then Dean drove us home. I did the head bob thing for a good portion home, as I couldnt seem to keep my eyes open. But Dean was good and we made it!! It was so nice to be home and in our own bed!

But a great trip it was, I cant wait to do it again...
