Nikolas swimming

We started swimming lessons at the gym. It is 6 lessons and he knows how to swim, yippee. So cool, this lady is just great with Nikolas he loved it. So I signed him up for 6 more, so he can get really good. He can swim to side, and under water, also knows to float. But I want him to be able to really swim. So more lessons here we come.

Been a really long time.....

Well all my friends have moved to Facebook, so I think I gave up on this blog. But I decided I would post something just in case any of you still check this blog. We just returned from vacation. It was so great!!! We have been to Peru before but this time we actually acted like tourist. We did so much and saw so much, it was truely amazing. The kids had so much fun. Niko was actually speaking spanish there. So I will share a few of the pictures. I just realized these pictures are out of order, oh well you get the idea.

Just a little note, if you have not heard of Macchu Picchu. This city was created by the Inca people, they created and built this city to be a sacred land. It was quite amazing they didnt have roads or vehicles they built this city very strong and very sturdy with much function. It has become one of the wonders of the world because it is hard to believe how such a place could exist. The spainards took over the Inca people just disappeared no one really knows what happened to them. And again the few pictures I have included really dont do it just it was so amazing.

** ok this picture is the road from Aguas Caliente the small city just below Macchu Picchu, it goes from 4000 ft to 12000 ft in 10 minutes, everycorner you turn rocks fall from the road because you are so close to the side... It was straight up and down....scary!!!

** Macchu Picchu this picture doesnt even do it justice, amazing!!!

** 2 cops texting while protecting the presidents palace

** Nikolas asleep on the plane, enroute to Peru

Sears

I park at the Sears because usually plenty of spots available. While walking through the store I decide oh, maybe I will get Nikolas 3YR pictures done. So good enough I am able to get in. While I was waiting there was another family waiting as well. Anyways, about 15 feet away I see a man drop and sit on his butt and dleans against the checkstand. As he was going down, he said "oh shit". I was like what is wrong, then I see him shaking. He was having a seizure. I see people attending to him, but as I am watching they really are not doing anything. So the other mother and I run over to him. The man is blue and not responding at all. A male worker says I will do CPR, but as he started he didnt know what he was doing. So I got down, and showed him how to do compressions. My class I took all came back to me. I told the workers what to do! So as the man is giving compressions, no luck! Then he starts choking, and the guy didnt know to stop. I jumped in again and said you need to stop he is breathing. I then helped to turn the man on his side, I guess the workers didnt think it was important to call 911! AMAZING... So needless to say, at least we got him breathing. So this was very strange, I take these calls all day long at work and I guess staying on the line and listening in to the instructions that the fire department gives people really paid off. I actually knew what to do since no one else there did..... Sheesh...scary! So the fire department came, the man had a diabetic seizure and was going to be ok.

After all that, we went to get our pictures done. And here they are.

The Dentist

Nikolas had his first dentist appointment. Nikolas DR referred us to this GREAT pediatric dentist. They had kids in there up to teens but they are definitely ready for the small kids! They took Nikolas in without me, I felt like we were at the happiest place on earth. That staff was so excited and just really nice. They took him in the first day for exam and xrays, and then they scheduled me for the next day for the teeth cleaning. Nikolas loved it, he did really good. He told me that he got to watch monster trucks while getting his teeth cleaned. Yay! he likes the dentist. Maybe I should come here! I hate the dentist.

We did it...

Well with Nikolas having a birthday and wanting a Monster truck birthday cake, I sent emails to several bakeries and showed them a picture of something I liked. And the quotes I was getting were $70-90 dollars... Yikes for a cake? Sheesh... so Dean and I decided to make it. Well all I did was bake it and help ice it.. oh and smushed the graham crackers for the dirt... haha Dean did the rest.... And well it was a lot!!! less than the quotes and was easy and Nikolas loved it.

Hard Worker

Nikolas got a Workbench for Christmas, and this tool belt and hard hat came with it... So here he is getting ready to build something.
