Sears

I park at the Sears because usually plenty of spots available. While walking through the store I decide oh, maybe I will get Nikolas 3YR pictures done. So good enough I am able to get in. While I was waiting there was another family waiting as well. Anyways, about 15 feet away I see a man drop and sit on his butt and dleans against the checkstand. As he was going down, he said "oh shit". I was like what is wrong, then I see him shaking. He was having a seizure. I see people attending to him, but as I am watching they really are not doing anything. So the other mother and I run over to him. The man is blue and not responding at all. A male worker says I will do CPR, but as he started he didnt know what he was doing. So I got down, and showed him how to do compressions. My class I took all came back to me. I told the workers what to do! So as the man is giving compressions, no luck! Then he starts choking, and the guy didnt know to stop. I jumped in again and said you need to stop he is breathing. I then helped to turn the man on his side, I guess the workers didnt think it was important to call 911! AMAZING... So needless to say, at least we got him breathing. So this was very strange, I take these calls all day long at work and I guess staying on the line and listening in to the instructions that the fire department gives people really paid off. I actually knew what to do since no one else there did..... Sheesh...scary! So the fire department came, the man had a diabetic seizure and was going to be ok.

After all that, we went to get our pictures done. And here they are.

The Dentist

Nikolas had his first dentist appointment. Nikolas DR referred us to this GREAT pediatric dentist. They had kids in there up to teens but they are definitely ready for the small kids! They took Nikolas in without me, I felt like we were at the happiest place on earth. That staff was so excited and just really nice. They took him in the first day for exam and xrays, and then they scheduled me for the next day for the teeth cleaning. Nikolas loved it, he did really good. He told me that he got to watch monster trucks while getting his teeth cleaned. Yay! he likes the dentist. Maybe I should come here! I hate the dentist.

We did it...

Well with Nikolas having a birthday and wanting a Monster truck birthday cake, I sent emails to several bakeries and showed them a picture of something I liked. And the quotes I was getting were $70-90 dollars... Yikes for a cake? Sheesh... so Dean and I decided to make it. Well all I did was bake it and help ice it.. oh and smushed the graham crackers for the dirt... haha Dean did the rest.... And well it was a lot!!! less than the quotes and was easy and Nikolas loved it.

Hard Worker

Nikolas got a Workbench for Christmas, and this tool belt and hard hat came with it... So here he is getting ready to build something.

Brush Brush Brush

Do all kids love to eat toothpaste? Is this like butter? Nikolas is very good at brushing his teeth, has to do it as often as he can. But he mostly likes to eat the toothpaste off the brush! Yuck! I wanted to get him some big kid toothpaste, but I guess we are nowhere near ready for that. I guess that is for when they stop eating it. Is this just a boy thing? Oh well his teeth look nice!

Monster Jam in Anaheim

Nikolas loves Monster Trucks, so we decided to take the boys to the Monster Jam in Anaheim. I have to say I thought this event would be much cheaper than it was. It was $200.00 for the 4 of us, and that didnt include food, drinks, or treats. Oh well it was very worth it, they only come once a year. The seats we had were great and we ALL really enjoyed them. As we were leaving, we thought wow we are really white trash now! The crowd we were with at least made us feel that way... yikes... This was when we first sat down, Nikolas wasnt so sure about it.
Some cotton candy that he had to have, but didnt really care for.
Grave Digger, this is Nikolas favorite!!
Here is Nikolas watching every moment. He had a smile from ear to ear. And much better now that he didnt have cotton candy and now he has licorice. Yummo!
